Red's odds of winning the 2010 World Series

Posted on: August 26, 2010 1:30 pm

The 2010 season started dismal for the Reds. Out of their first 18 games, they lost 11 -- topped off by a five game losing streak which included the Pittsburgh Pirates sweeping them.

Thank God, they have now turned things around. Of their last 24 games -- they've won 17. If they keep up the pace, they should finish with about 93 wins. This club has the look a team heading for the post season and possible into the fall classic.

World Series talk may come as a surprise to Reds fans but those of you old enough to remember the 1990 team should understand. That club won only 91 games but went to the World Series and sweep the heavily favored Oakland's A's.

I believe the 2010 ball club is as good if not better than that club. Look at the comparison below and decide for yourself.
